Amy Klein, Executive Director
Amy, a California native and UCLA graduate, has broad nonprofit and volunteer experience. Beginning her career as a volunteer, she recently worked extensively in the development and fundraising fields. Amy has donated countless hours of volunteer work throughout her life, from single day beach clean-up events, to skills-based work, such as planning fundraising galas. She praises her parents as her inspiration for modeling the importance of volunteering and giving back to the community at a young age.
McKinley Mertz, Operations Coordinator
McKinley started working with VolunteerConnect as a volunteer and joined the staff in January 2013 as the Operations Coordinator. She supports the executive director in promoting and maintaining VolunteerConnect’s skills-based volunteer and educational programs. She grew up in central New Jersey and graduated from Miami University in Ohio in 2011. McKinley has been an active volunteer since early high school for organizations around the country and continues to volunteer within Mercer County. She is currently working towards her graduate degree at Rutgers’ Bloustein School of City Planning and Public Policy.
Beth Fitzgerald joins the VolunteerConnect staff as our Program Manager, working with current and potential skills-based volunteers and supporting additional programming. Beth is a certified life coach. Her professional experience is in the financial field. She previously worked for OppenheimerFunds in NYC where she was sales manager for a sales force of 60. Prior to OppenheimerFunds, she worked in the portfolio management group at Prudential Financial. Beth is a graduate of Rutgers University. She is also an active member of Trinity Church, a Girl Scout Leader, as well as mother of four.
