Overall Experience

Extremely rewarding

My 16-yr old son and I do minor house repairs and yard work for Interfaith Caregivers of Trenton. The organization provides assistance with the everyday tasks of life for elderly or homebound individuals. These are tasks that many people forget about, fixing screen doors, repairing door insulation, raking leaves, and clearing yard waste. The look on the recipients faces when we are done is one of total thankfulness and instantly pays back the hard work. I am looking forward to continuing my efforts. It has also been a great way for me to spend some quality time with my son and teach him some valuable things. posted by mbartkus on December 18, 2009 |
