Vision: To increase the success of all students in the Trenton Public Schools by providing needed resources for educational opportunities.

Description:
For those involved in the Trenton Public Education Foundation, it all comes down to a child. This nonprofit foundation's mission is to be able to offer every child in the Trenton school district the opportunity to excel. To carry out this mission, TPEF is working to support enhanced educational opportunities for local children and to reach out to members of the community who are willing and able to provide resources for those opportunities. Since 2003, this foundation has served as a vital link between school children and those who desire to help them.

History:
What is TPEF?

TPEF is Trenton Public Education Foundation and was founded in May 2003 by a group of progressive minded and dedicated individuals committed to supporting the Trenton Public Schools. This group consisted of Joyce Kersey, Convener, Patrice Coleman-Boatwright, Debra D’Arcangelo, Pamela Pruitt, Eugene Marsh, Kevin Wiley, Diane Woodside, Helene Garcia, Kenneth Faulkner, Dennis Dooley and Tom Gudusky.

Over the years, the foundation has grown and evolved to having a 25+ member board of directors under the leadership of Pamela Pruitt and recently hired its first executive director in March 2007. The foundation directs and focuses it’s time and energy on projects and activities that are in alignment with its mission, vision and the educational priorities of the Trenton Public Schools.
