The Progressive Center for Independent Living (PCIL) advocates for the rights of people with disabilities to acheive and maintain independent lifestyles. Through promotion of choice, self-direction, and inclusion PCIL works with people with disabilities and their families to ensure the same freedoms and civil liberties as everyone else.

Description:
Members and staff, who have disabilities and who understand your needs, help make independent living an achievable goal. People with disabilities who live in Mercer and Hunterdon Counties can obtain four essential PCIL services: information & referall, advocacy, peer support, and independent living skills training.

History:
The Progressive Center was formed in 1996.
