Description:
Family Guidance provides comprehensive, outpatient substance abuse treatment, mental health treatment, financial counseling, housing counseling, family preservation services, a partial care program for children with emotional difficulties, HIV/AIDS services and a school for children with behavior disorders.

History:
Family Guidance Center Corporation is a non-profit social service agency that was incorporated in 1993 following the merger of Community Guidance Center of Mercer County, founded in 1948, and Family Service Association of Trenton/Hopewell Valley, founded in 1938. Family Guidance Center merged with Family & Children Services of Central New Jersey in April of 2008 and is now one of the premier non-profit social service agencies in central New Jersey.
