Volunteer Opportunity Details:

American Academy of Pediatrics, NJ Chapter (AAP NJ) and the Chapter’s Quality Improvement arm, the Pediatric Council on Research & Education (PCORE) work to ensure optimal health for all children across New Jersey. The AAP NJ Chapter is comprised of 1700 + pediatricians and works closely with PCORE to improve the quality of children’s healthcare at the policy and community levels. PCORE operates many quality improvement grant funded programs that are designed to promote prevention, wellness, and chronic care management within the context of strengthening medical homes. We are seeking a qualified volunteer bookkeeper to assist our full time Financial Controller.

Duties include:

• Processing and recording payments made by check and credit card
• Creating and delivering invoices and statements
• Processing and recording bills, issuing and delivering payment of bills
• Interfacing with the organization’s Financial Controller to provide needed materials
• Other accounting and bookkeeping tasks as needed

The bookkeeper must be willing to work in our Hamilton office and have experience in a bookkeeping or accounting related position. Since this volunteer will handle multiple projects, varying in scope and size, he/she should have excellent task management skills and be able to work as part of a team, while remaining self-directed.
